G & L Livestock, LLC is a family owned and operated ranch. We do not have a large place, which allows us to focus on the quality of our cattle rather than their quantity.
The ranch is a partnership between my brother, Jason Gray, myself (Janene Love) and my husband, Steve. We have all grown up in the agricultural industry, and our partnership is a dream come to fruition. As young people, we feel it is important to involve ourselves in agricultures many opportunities and try to protect this way of life. We are hard working and work hard to keep the family ranch a part of the future, rather than a thing of the past.
In October of 2006, we were blessed with the opportunity to purchase a small ranch. The following February we were once again blessed with an opportunity to purchase a small group of commercial black angus bred cows. While we had researched and had a plan to buy Lowline cattle, the opportunity to buy our commercial cows was too great to pass up.
During this time we had been in contact with one of the leading Lowline breeders, George Jenkins, and he put together a tremendous package for us to purchase. We bought four registered animals from George - three outstanding cows and a wonderful bull named "Big Red".
